Homemade Adobo Seasoning

Something that really lights my fire when it comes to eating well is taking Food or dishes that people love and finding ways to make them healthier. I firmly believe in balance and everything in moderation. Especially when it comes to Latin food. I’ll never stop eating rice, beans, empanadas, tostones, tacos, chilaquiles, you name it. Tostones and guac are one of my favorite combos, in this photo, both of them (as well as the Caribbean salmon bowl) are topped with one of the best seasonings ever.

Adobo seasoning. I honestly cannot fathom my life without it. I was raised to feel that this stuff is gold, because it basically is. And there is absolutely a way to make it yourself at home.

Making your own at home spice blends can be so fun, you experiment with flavors and find combinations that really cater to your palate all while controlling exactly what’s going in and on your food.
